About Surah Al-Qiyamah

Surah Al-Qiyamah (Arabic text: القيامة‎) is the 75th chapter of the Qur’an. The surah titled in English means “The Resurrection” and it consists of 40 verses

The Surah begins with the spiritual resurrection of the soul when it becomes aware of its Lord and it describes the physical resurrection that will take place at the end of the world.

The Day of Resurrection

The Day of Resurrection is believed to be God's final assessment of humanity. Other names for it in the Quran are the Day of Reckoning, the Last Day, and the Hour (al-sā'ah). The sequence of events (according to the most commonly held belief) is the annihilation of all creatures, the resurrection of the body, and the judgment of all sentient beings. At this time everyone is shown their deeds and actions in regard to justice.

Other names of the day of Resurrection in the Holy Quran 



Belief in Resurrection Day is considered a fundamental tenet of faith by all Muslims: it is one of the six articles of faith. The trials and tribulations associated with it are detailed in both the Quran and the hadith (the sayings of Muhammad),

The six articles of faith 

Faith (iman) breaks down into six axioms:

1. Belief in the existence and oneness of God.

2. Belief in the existence of angels.

3. Belief in the existence of the books of which God is the author: the Quran (revealed to Muhammad), the Gospel (revealed to Jesus), the Torah (revealed to Moses), and Psalms (revealed to David).

4. Belief in the existence of all Prophets: Muhammad being the last of them, Jesus the penultimate, and others sent before them [like Moses, Abraham, David, Joseph, Jacob].

5. Belief in the existence of the Day of Judgment: in that day, humanity will be divided into two groups: that of paradise and that of hell. These groups are themselves composed of subgroups.

6. Belief in the existence of God's predestination due to God's omniscience, whether it involves good or bad.

The Meaning of Tanween and its purpose in Arabic and its Shapes In Qur'an  Tanween, named Nunation in English, is a sign of two Fathah or two Dhammah or two Kasrah occurs at the end of certain nouns. The word Tanween comes from the letter "noon", because pronouncing of tanween is like Noon Saakin.  From here we can say that tanween is to make pronunciation of the word end like "noon"  and we can say also that tanween is written as two fathah or two Dhammah or two kasrah and is pronounced as Noon saakin.
